This is an Atlantic-bodied 1930s Delahaye — one of the most rare and evocative pre-war automobiles in existence. When the client brought it to us, the car had no interior whatsoever. Just two bare seat frames and an empty shell. What followed was one of the most ambitious and rewarding projects in our history.
Inspired by the legendary Bugatti Atlantic, we designed and fabricated the entire interior from scratch. The headlining is made from West of England wool cloth, with every other panel trimmed in the finest quality leather. Wool box-weave carpets cover the floor, with removable mats for easy cleaning. A bespoke storage compartment was fabricated behind the seats — discreetly housing the starting handle.
The door cards were constructed so that no fixings are visible from the interior, each designed with a hidden storage pocket. Every component is removable for future servicing. Over 500 man hours went into this project, and it remains one of our proudest achievements.
